Confocal chromatic sensors
Micro-Epsilon offers a wide range of confocal sensors for measurement tasks in numerous industries. Since the beam path of the confocal sensors is axial, no shadowing effects occur. Therefore, measurements in sleeves and recesses can also be realized. In addition to the standard sensors for high-precision measurement tasks, miniature confocal sensors are available with axial and radial measurement directions (90°). With the 90° version, measurements can be performed inside bores and recesses. The sensors have a passive design and do not radiate any heat onto the target. Depending on the design, the sensors can even be used in harsh environments, e.g. in a vacuum, and withstand temperatures up to 200 °C.

Next generation for environments up to 200 °C
The new confocal chromatic high-temperature sensors are designed for use in extreme conditions. They are the first optical sensors in the Micro-Epsilon portfolio that can withstand temperatures up to 200 °C. Thanks to their compact design, these high-temperature sensors can also be used in very confined spaces. The innovative HT sensors are available in various measuring ranges and with a 90° beam path. Due to the adhesive-free design, the HT sensors are low-outgassing even at high temperatures, and are therefore suitable for use in UHV environments.
