Capacitive displacement sensors with Embedded Capa Technology (ECT)

Capacitive sensors with Embedded Capa Technology are designed after an innovative manufacturing process and achieve significantly higher long-term stability. By embedding the electrode in a particularly stable carrier material, significantly better temperature stability is achieved compared to conventional sensor designs. The innovative technology allows different sensor designs to be realized for temperatures from -270 °C to +200 °C.

Capacitive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon
Capacitive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon are often used in vacuum and cleanroom applications where they achieve resolutions in the nanometer range. Sensors, cables and feedthrough are particle-free to a high degree and used in cleanroom class 1.
Magnetic field
For environments with strong magnetic fields, Micro-Epsilon offers sensors and sensor cables which are made from non-magnetic materials such as titanium and stainless steel. The shielding of the triaxial sensor design increases the immunity to interference.
Capacitive sensor for cryogenic temperature
Ideal for very low temperatures / cryogenic technology: The temperature-stable sensor design enables applications around absolute zero while maintaining nanometer resolution.

Miniature sensor system for full integration close to the measuring point

  • Miniature electronics with a small footprint 50 x 27 x 8.5 mm
  • Targeted position control < 0.5 µm using a switch signal
  • Quick teach-in of the switching position using the upper and lower limit buttons
  • Control range (measuring range) 500 µm
  • Application: This system is fully integrated into, e.g., surgical microscopes and is used to stabilize the stands

  • Optimized for minimum sensor thickness <0.3 mm
  • Mounting wings are directly integrated
  • Flex conductor connection for positioning
  • Max. total length of sensor incl. flex conductor up to the sensor cable transition point: 400 mm
  • Application: Monitoring the gap distances in powerful electric motors

Sensors with desired geometry for simple, targeted integration

  • High-precision 500 µm sensor with customized geometry
  • Geometry: flange for easy and ideal positioning in relation to the measuring surface
  • Application: Optical elements (lens systems) are aligned in a vacuum / cleanroom using these sensors
