Extremely compact miniature sensors for confocal displacement and distance measurements
Confocal sensors from Micro-Epsilon are used for displacement, distance and position measurements in extremely small installation spaces. They are among the most powerful, optical sensors. The new confocalDT IFS2402-0.5 sensor extends the sensor portfolio and is designed for measuring ranges of 0.5 mm.
Its advantages are the extremely compact design with a diameter of only 4 mm, nanometer resolution and a measuring angle of ±18°. These features enable precise distance measurements, even on curved surfaces and in extremely small installation spaces.
Compared to the previous models, the sensor has an integrated cable, as well as optimized linearity and more than twice as large measuring angle.
