Sensor systems for 3D geometry inspection

3D measuring systems from Micro-Epsilon measure strips, sheets, profiles and semi-finished products without contact in full 3D – inline during the ongoing production process. Instead of individual measuring points, they provide complete 3D data sets and thus enable the reliable evaluation of shape, geometry and dimensional accuracy. The turnkey sensor systems combine high-resolution sensor technology, powerful evaluation software and a robust system architecture. This allows geometry deviations to be detected at an early stage, quality to be documented and processes to be controlled reliably.

Depending on the measurement task, different systems are available from combined thickness and 3D profile measurement to 360° geometry inspection of tubes and profiles.

3D profile and geometry measurement of profiles and semi-finished products. Four scanCONTROL laser profile scanners measure the object from all sides and inspect width, thickness, angles, radii, diameters as well as form and positional deviations.

thicknessGAUGE 3D
Combined thickness and 3D profile measurement in one system. Measures material thickness and surface topography simultaneously and is suitable for continuous quality control of strip and sheet material.
