Press releases of Micro-Epsilon

Capacitive sensors are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance and position. They stand out due to long-term stability, reliability and temperature stability. The capacitive measuring principle is usually not intended for measurements in the industrial environment. However, modern and innovative Micro-Epsilon sensor technology enables highly precise measurements using capacitive sensors even under extreme conditions.

Press release

Micro-Epsilon has grown from a three-man company to a global operating business group with more than 900 employees worldwide. The family-run, medium-sized company looks back at a successful history paved with technical innovations and continuous growth.

Press release

The new optoNCDT 1320 and 1420 laser triangulation sensors from Micro-Epsilon are now even more versatile. Additional measuring ranges of 100mm and 200mm enable even more application possibilities in terms of displacement, distance and position measurement.

Press release

The new thicknessSENSOR from Micro-Epsilon opens up even more diverse application possibilities in terms of non-contact thickness measurement. The sensor works extremely precisely combined with ease of use and a compact design, measuring without contact and therefore wear-free.

Press release

For many years, Micro-Epsilon has been a supporter of the RoboCup competition. RoboCup is one of the leading and major competitions for intelligent robots and one of the most important technology events in research and training in the world. This year, the event is larger than ever before, as for the first time in 10 years, the robot world championship takes place in Germany. Also in 2016, a thermal imaging camera from the thermoIMAGER TIM series from Micro-Epsilon will be demonstrated in Leipzig.

Press release

The capaNCDT 6222 is designed for high speed measurements up to 20kHz and so is four times faster than its predecessors. The controller can be extended up to four channels and is compatible with all capacitive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon without requiring any calibration.

Press release

Micro-Epsilon influences eddy current displacement measurement technology more than any other company. The sensor specialist continuously sets technological milestones and develops innovative products. With the new eddyNCDT 3001 and 3005 eddy current sensors, Micro-Epsilon has developed two sensors that provide high precision measurement results even in industrial environments.

Press release

The new thermoMETER CTP-3 infrared pyrometer enables the non-contact temperature measurement of thin polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene film. It operates at a wavelength of 3.43µm which is especially suitable for these types of film.

Press release

A new model with an even larger working distance now completes the confocalDT IFS2405 sensor series used for precision displacement and thickness measurements. The offset distance from the measurement object can be up to 220mm, which proves particularly useful when measuring against hot surfaces.

Press release

Temperature fluctuations are one of the critical factors that influence the accuracy of measurement results. In particular, the measurement results of displacement sensors that work at resolutions in the micrometer range are affected by temperature fluctuations. Numerous displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon actively compensate for temperature, providing precise measurement results.

Press release

Low cost, compact and long life – these characteristics are distinguishing features of the new wireSENSOR MK46 series of draw-wire sensors. Furthermore, the new model offers extended application possibilities as it is not only available with a potentiometer output but now also with voltage or current output.

Press release

Providing a measuring rate of 70kHz, the confocalDT 2471 HS high speed controller is currently the worldwide fastest confocal chromatic controller. The controller is used for fast distance and thickness measurements of highly reflecting surfaces.
