New scanCONTROL 30xx laser scanner models are now available. The rear-tail option with cable integrated at the rear enables even more space-saving installation of the sensors. The length of the integrated cable is 30 cm. This version has no wiring at the top, which is why around 80 mm less installation height is required. Compared with the standard model, this reduces the required installation space by almost 50%.
Another benefit is the new protective housing, which makes the sensors even more robust against industrial environments. The housing is available for the sensors of the 25x0/29x0 series with measuring ranges of 25, 50 and 100 mm as well as 30x0 and 30x2 with measuring ranges of 25 to 200 mm.
The protective housing offers connections for air purge as well as liquid cooling, an adjustable splash guard, a replaceable protective glass and an air purge device. If the integrated blow-out system is fed with compressed air, dirt such as dust or chipping are removed and cleaning intervals are extended. The housing with additional water cooling offers protection against high ambient temperatures in addition to protection against mechanical damage. On the other hand, the sensor can be heated in case of low outdoor temperatures. The protective window can be easily replaced at low cost.
