Press releases of Micro-Epsilon

Micro-Epsilon influences eddy current displacement measurement technology more than any other company. The sensor specialist continuously sets technological milestones and develops innovative products. With the new eddyNCDT 3001 and 3005 eddy current sensors, Micro-Epsilon has developed two sensors that provide high precision measurement results even in industrial environments.

The new thermoMETER CTP-3 infrared pyrometer enables the non-contact temperature measurement of thin polypropylene, polyethylene and polystyrene film. It operates at a wavelength of 3.43µm which is especially suitable for these types of film.

Press release

A new model with an even larger working distance now completes the confocalDT IFS2405 sensor series used for precision displacement and thickness measurements. The offset distance from the measurement object can be up to 220mm, which proves particularly useful when measuring against hot surfaces.

Press release

Temperature fluctuations are one of the critical factors that influence the accuracy of measurement results. In particular, the measurement results of displacement sensors that work at resolutions in the micrometre range are affected by temperature fluctuations. Numerous displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon actively compensate for temperature, providing precise measurement results.

Low cost, compact and long life – these characteristics are distinguishing features of the new wireSENSOR MK46 series of draw-wire sensors. Furthermore, the new model offers extended application possibilities as it is not only available with a potentiometer output but now also with voltage or current output.

Press release

Providing a measuring rate of 70kHz, the confocalDT 2471 HS high speed controller is currently the worldwide fastest confocal chromatic controller. The controller is used for fast distance and thickness measurements of highly reflecting surfaces.

Press release

reflectCONTROL Automation is designed specifically to meet the high quality requirements in production and reliably detects smallest defects on shiny surfaces. reflectCONTROL Automation is used for high speed inspection of shiny and painted parts, e.g. car attachments. The sensor is mounted on a robot and is therefore also able to inspect parts with complex geometries.

Press release

The surfaceCONTROL inspection system recognizes local surface deviations on non-reflecting surfaces. Using modern hardware, a new sensor recognizes defects even faster and with more precision.

Press release

The new optoNCDT 1320 and 1420 laser triangulation sensors stand out due to their unique design concept based on compact size, intelligent signal processing and precision. Now the smart minis have won the coveted Red Dot Award 2016 in the Industrial Design category.

Press release

With all electric motors, a smooth operation is required in order to ensure a long operating life. Particularly with large motors, imbalance can cause significant damage in the running motor, resulting in high financial losses. Capacitive sensors from Micro-Epsilon reliably monitor the concentricity during running.

Press release

Eddy current sensors from Micro-Epsilon are extremely powerful and robust. Even with pressure, dirt and oil, they "feel at home" and provide fast, high precision measurements. The sensors are used for measuring displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibration.

Press release

In terms of their size, accuracy and measuring rate, the scanCONTROL series of laser scanners are among the highest performing laser profile sensors in the world. Even the smallest of parts can be measured to the highest precision, enabling a new dimension of quality control.
