For the continuous color control in the production line a color measurement system has been developed by Micro-Epsilon. The new system does not only recognize the saved colors according to the yes-no-principle but also determines the exact color of the components spectrophotometrically. With a precision that exceeds the human eye, and a measuring rate of 2000 Hz the system is variously used in the plastics industry.

At the end of 2012, Micro-Epsilon launched the capaNCDT 6200 capacitive measuring system that can be extended by up to four measurement channels using demodulators. The three-range method typically used for color sensors can measure a maximum color distance of ΔE > 0.5. However, more demanding industrial requirements require test systems that can achieve a color accuracy of ΔE < 0.1. At present this is only possible by using color measurement systems based on the spectral value method. A year ago, Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec introduced the first online measurement system of this kind – the colorCONTROL ACS 7000 with a ΔE < 0.08. New features have now been added to this system.

Micro-Epsilon presents the new capaNCDT 6220 controller for capacitive sensors, developed for non-contact displacement, distance and position measurement, which can be enlarged by a maximum of 4 measurement channels. The additional channels can be added or removed by the user without any loss of performance or operation of the software.

Micro-Epsilon presents a new series of confocal chromatic sensors, the confocalDT IFS2405. The new sensors have a higher sensitivity and so offer significant advantages with regard to measurements carried out on dark targets. In order to ensure flexible use, the new sensors offer offset distances of up to 100mm. In addition, the tilt angle has been significantly enlarged.
