Press releases of Micro-Epsilon

A miniature PC simplifies the integration of the thermoIMAGER series of thermal imaging cameras into industrial production environments. Built-in features ensure seamless operation.

Press release

Compact design, flexible installation options and versatile interfaces make the new scanCONTROL 2600/2900 laser line scanners the ideal choice for high-precision profile and dimensional measurements in production environments.

Press release

The three-range method typically used for color sensors can measure a maximum color distance of ΔE > 0.5. However, more demanding industrial requirements require test systems that can achieve a color accuracy of ΔE < 0.1. At present this is only possible by using color measurement systems based on the spectral value method. A year ago, Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec introduced the first online measurement system of this kind – the colorCONTROL ACS 7000 with a ΔE < 0.08. New features have now been added to this system.

Surgical procedures require a perfect view of the operating area. Surgeons often use surgical microscopes for support. A high-precision capacitive sensor is used to stabilize the microscope's field of view.

Press release

The thicknessCONTROL MTS 8201.LLT O-frame measurement system from Micro-Epsilon determines the thickness profile of individual metal strips in slitting lines. A laser line sensor enables additional measurement options, which weren’t supported by conventional measurement methods.

Press release

On 1st January 2013, Bernd Hendrych was appointed as new CEO for Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec. In this role, he will continue the work of his predecessor Claus Hofmann, who left the company on the 31 December 2012.

Press release

The identityCONTROL TID 8303.I measurement system is based on structured light projection and detects the tire type on the conveyor belt during production.

Press release

Micro-Epsilon has launched a wide range of Ether-/EtherCAT applicable measurement technology at this year’s automation exhibition “SPS/IPC/Drives 2012”. Amongst other new products were eddy current, capacitive and confocal measurement systems, laser profile scanners and laser triangulation sensors, inline color measurement systems and universal controllers for up to 6 sensors.

Press release

Micro-Epsilon presents the new capaNCDT 6220 controller for capacitive sensors, developed for non-contact displacement, distance and position measurement, which can be enlarged by a maximum of 4 measurement channels. The additional channels can be added or removed by the user without any loss of performance or operation of the software.

Press release

Micro-Epsilon presents a new series of confocal chromatic sensors, the confocalDT IFS2405. The new sensors have a higher sensitivity and so offer significant advantages with regard to measurements carried out on dark targets. In order to ensure flexible use, the new sensors offer offset distances of up to 100mm. In addition, the tilt angle has been significantly enlarged.

Press release

With the colorCONTROL MFA 1 series, Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec has launched a cost effective sensor for inspecting the operation and intensity of single LEDs.

Press release

Embedded Coil Technology (ECT) allows the limitations normally caused by the material and design to be exceeded. This fact makes the sensors unique. Technology for the production of coils in sintered glass ceramic has only been applied to customised applications. However, standard ECT eddy current sensors are now available.
