Laser profile scanners from Micro-Epsilon are among the most powerful profile sensors in terms of accuracy and measuring rate. The performance of the scanCONTROL 3000 series has now been further increased: data acquisition and output has been increased to up to 10 million measuring points/second, while the profile calculation and evaluation speed of the SMART sensors has been increased by 60%. The SMART scanners from Micro-Epsilon now have one of the fastest profile evaluations in the world. The speed increase will take effect for all current scanCONTROL SMART models with an update to scanCONTROL Configuration Tools 6.8. In conjunction with the update to the new v54 firmware, the smart scanCONTROL 30xx sensors achieve an increase in evaluation speed of up to 60%.
The new v54 firmware for the scanCONTROL 30xx series also increases the point rate to up to 10 million measuring points per second compared to the previous 7.5 million - this results in a speed increase of around 33%, regardless of whether it is a SMART or a COMPACT sensor.
scanCONTROL for large measuring ranges
With scanCONTROL laser scanners, profile measurements are possible on almost all surfaces. Two new measuring ranges are now available for the scanCONTROL LLT30xx series. The sensors cover the 430 mm x 390 mm and 600 mm x 600 mm measuring ranges, opening up numerous new fields of application. They are available in different versions with a red laser. Together with the new models, the overall portfolio now covers the measuring ranges from 10 mm to 600 mm. This allows the laser scanners to precisely detect the smallest details, but also to reliably measure large objects at a large offset distance.
