The thicknessCONTROL MTS 8201.LLT system measures the thickness profile of individual metal strip in a slitting line, in and across the direction of the conveyor belt. Thickness measurements are continuous and non-contact. Due to space requirements, the strip profiles are measured before the slitting shears. The software virtually splits the entire captured cross-section into individual strips. These thickness profiles are then associated with each ring for documentation and traceability.
