Sensors of the mainSENSOR product range measure distances to magnets fixed at the measurement object in measuring ranges up to 55mm. Unlike Hall Effect sensors, a linear relationship between output signal and magnet distance (self-linearization technology) is automatically produced due to counteracting physical effects.
The new design of the MDS-40-MK series has now been optimized for use in cost-sensitive high volume industrial applications, but due to its modular design, also offers a number of selection possibilities and combinations. As well as different mechanical modules (protection class, plug or mounting options), different supply voltage ranges and output signals are available, which can be combined with a batch quantity of 200 pieces or more.
Four predefined standard models that reflect a wide range of choices, simplify project start-up and are already available in smaller batch quantities. As usual, the measuring range can be defined by selecting the respective magnet.
The MDS-40-MK is ideally suited to applications in confined spaces and can be used in many different arrangements. An optional fixing prism can be provided as a supporting surface, enabling mounting on cylindrical objects.
