The new ACS2 circular sensor illuminates the measurement surface in 360° at an angle of 45° and therefore provides exact measurement results independently of the working direction. This measurement geometry enables the detection of respective colors, for example, under standard color matching conditions. Metallic paint and structured materials such as textiles and plastics can be accurately detected. The sensor has a measurement geometry of 45° circular/0°. The sensor resolution is ΔE < 0.08 and its very high measurement frequency of 2000 Hz enables it to be used in high volume production applications. The measurement spot diameter is 5mm; 9mm is also available as an option. The ideal measurement distance is 28mm.
The ACS1 standard sensor is applied with a measurement geometry of 45°/0° and is supplied as an advanced version of the 30°/0° model. Due to their new measurement geometry, both the ACS1 and ACS2 sensors are suitable for color measurement according to DIN 5033.
