Ethernet network technology impresses through its reliability, high data transfer rates, ease of integration into existing networks and low hardware costs. Specifically for measurement technology, an open Ethernet interface simplifies the integration of sensors into existing systems and the wiring needed is minimal. The operator may address the controller from anywhere via the IP address, evaluate the measurement data independent of location, and perform remote maintenance worldwide.
