Sales support Engineer – office based

As part of our continued growth, Micro-Epsilon UK is seeking an ambitious Sales Support Engineer to join our expanding team based at our UK headquarters in Birkenhead, Wirral.

The Opportunity

Are you an engineer, service technician, or quality professional looking to take your career in a new direction?

As a Sales & Support Engineer, you’ll work with some of the most advanced sensor and automation technologies available today. You’ll use your problem-solving and communication skills to help customers find the best measurement solutions for their applications.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys technical challenges, customer interaction, and continuous learning, all within a supportive and innovative environment.

Your Task:

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for new customer enquiries.
  • Discuss and interpret technical requirements to identify the best solutions.
  • Collaborate with the field sales team to review opportunities and define next steps.
  • Prepare quotations, technical documentation, and proposals.
  • Perform test measurements with customer samples in our test lab.
  • Provide first-line technical support and product advice to customers.
  • Liaise with Micro-Epsilon GmbH (Headquarters) for technical information and support.
  • Occasionally attend UK customer visits, exhibitions, and seminars.
  • Participate in overseas product training to expand your knowledge.
Your Profile:

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, and helping customers succeed.

You’ll bring:

  • A technical qualification (engineering or science discipline, ideally NVQ Level 4 or higher).
  • Hands-on experience in engineering, quality, R&D, or a related technical field.
  • A proactive approach to handling enquiries and managing your own workload.
  •  Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The motivation to learn new technologies, full product training is provided.

Previous experience with Micro-Epsilon products is not required, full training will be given
