The new optoNCDT1402 laser sensor from Micro-Epsilon replaces the previous optoNCDT 1401 in the product range. It offers improved performance and is very flexible. Because what is completely new for this series is a Teach-In function, which enables the measuring range to be individually limited. The resolution is therefore improved in this way. This is a particular benefit for applications that require small measuring ranges but with high performance requirements. The flexibility of the optoNCDT 1402 is further improved by providing a swivelling cable connector so that the direction of the cable output can be selected depending on the specific application. An increased adjustable measuring rate of 1.5 kHz using a CMOS sensor means the unit can cope with fast processes. An RS422 digital interface is provided, as well as the analogue current / voltage output. As before, the new series comprises seven sensors, which offer measuring ranges between 5mm and 250mm. Together with the integrated controller, the very compact design enables fast mounting and installation in tight, restricted spaces. The optoNCDT 1402 is universally suitable for many tasks due to its very effective, fast compensation technology for changing reflective surfaces.
