Drones are increasingly used for the temperature monitoring of buildings, solar power plants and high-voltage electrical power lines. The thermoIMAGER TIM Lightweight system includes a high resolution infrared camera and the new, lightweight Linux-Recording-Box with a combined weight of just 380 grams, that takes up minimal space for this state-of-the-art technology. The system is specifically designed for aerial drones. The Linux-Recording-Box makes the new system even faster and more compatible than its predecessor, providing high reliability and ease of use. It supports the Global Positioning System (GPS) and embeds geo data into each video image of the radiometric video file. The system records the »RMC« GPS NMEA data set, which contains all basic data for identifying time and position.
The high resolution infrared camera offers a full radiometric, infrared inspection providing up to 640x480 pixels at a size of 46 x 56 x 90 mm. The Linux-Recording-Box, which records the thermography values obtained during the full flight time, can be mounted in different directions with the supplied, pre-assembled mounting bricks. The dimensions are 96 x 67 x 47 mm and the data can be transferred to a USB stick. Depending on the camera, the recording speed varies from 27Hz to 125Hz. Measurable temperatures ranges are from -10°C to +100°C, from 0 to +250°C degrees or from +150°C to +900°C.
