Measurement of temperature/time in welding processes
For documentation of welding parameters, power source calibration or defect analysis in arc welding, stud welding or resistance welding processes, the company HKS-Prozesstechnik has developed a system that enables the detection of numerous measured parameters such as current, voltage, gas flow and cooling time. High performance pyrometers from Micro-Epsilon are used to measure the cooling time. A double laser sighting system is used for alignment with the desired measuring point in order to view the exact spot position and to simplify adjustments. The recording of the cooling time t8/5 is performed between two adjustable limit values (usually 800°C / 500°C). As soon as the minimum value is not reached, the recording process stops and saves the cooling time and the temperature profile for further evaluation.
