Non-contact distance measurement up to 50m

The new optoNCDT ILR 1030 laser distance sensor is extremely versatile. It is suitable for many different applications: in woodworking, due to its high measurement speed; it can measure trays as they move down production lines in the food processing sector; and it can operate down to -30°C in refrigerated zones. The sensor can also measure the position of trolleys on cranes, conduct position measurement in high bay warehouses, and it can determine stacking heights, fill levels, diameters, and much more.
The optoNCDT ILR 1030 operates on the "time of flight" principle. Due to its special evaluation algorithms, the sensor is also insensitive to external light and can even measure under artificial lighting conditions. The measurement process is extremely stable. Dust, fog and temperature changes have virtually no effect on the sensor’s performance. In addition, changes to the target surface are practically negligible. The sensor is very easy to align because of the visible laser light used.
The sensor measures directly on the target surface at distances between 0.2m and 8m. If a reflector plate is mounted to the target, a range of 50m can be achieved using an additional sensor unit. The sensor works at high speed at a measuring frequency of 100Hz. And despite all these advantages, the optoNCDT ILR 1030 can still be purchased at a very affordable price.
