Shape conformance of rotary pistons

In rotary piston pumps, as the rotary pistons are responsible for the flow of the delivery medium, the specified geometrical shape of the pistons must be extremely precise and accurate. Therefore, the company QSigma has developed a universal 3D measuring machine that automatically inspects these components. As well as rotary pistons, many other different parts can be inspected in this way. A scanCONTROL 2700 sensor rotating on the rotation axis carries out profile measurements. An optoNCDT 2200 laser triangulation sensor is also installed that determines  the position to high precision. The sensors can be moved vertically in each linear axis in order to measure larger complete objects. A typical inspection cycle takes only five seconds.
