Measuring distances up to 3,000 metres

The optoNCDT ILR product range currently offers the largest measuring ranges in the Micro-Epsilon sensor portfolio. The optoNCDT ILR 1181, 1182 and 1183 sensor series operate according to the phase comparison measuring principle. Using these sensors, it is possible to measure up to 50 metres in a typical application and up to 150 metres with special reflector film. The sensor can be fitted with an air jet unit for the lens in fill level measurement applications. However, the fastest in its class is the optoNCDT ILR 1191, which has a maximum measuring distance of 300 metres on diffuse surfaces or 3,000 metres on reflective surfaces. Due to its “Time of Flight” principle, the sensor only needs 0.5ms for each measurement. An integrated heater enables the sensor to be used outdoors all year round.
The optoNCDT ILR 1183 shows its superiority by its integrated Profibus interface. All sensors can be aligned with the target very easily using a visible laser beam.
The optoNCDT ILR 1020, 1100 and 1150 have very compact, robust designs. A display on the sensor enables rapid, easy access for configuration. The sensors measure using infrared and are not susceptible to interference.
