Glossary: Interference emission

The interference emission describes the property of electrical equipment to radiate electromagnetic fields under certain conditions. These fields draw their energy from the desired as well as undesired energy conversion in the electrical operating equipment. The possibility arising from this of influencing other electrical equipment is described in the EMC Directive and the relevant standards.
