Glossary: LVDS

LVDS is an abbreviation for "Low Voltage Differential Signaling". LVDS is a two-wire interface standard for high speed transmissions (up to many Gbit/s) at a very low voltage level. The difference between the two voltages on the lines is decisive for the logic state. LVDS can be used at distances of up to 10 m over copper cable or on the circuit board within a device for fast data transfer.
