Glossary

Calendering

During calendering ductile, heated material is passed through a number of consecutively arranged heated rolls. The material then remains flexible and becomes thinner. Films of plastics, rubber and metals are produced in this way. Sensors from Micro-Epsilon are used for measurement in the calendering process.
